What membership puts an actual number on
Reid's does not publish a repair call-out fee or a flat membership price, but the two tune-ups that come with Service Club membership carry real, published values: a spring precision tune-up on your A/C equipment, valued at $149 per system, and a fall precision tune-up on your heating equipment, valued at $89 per system. Members also get appointments guaranteed within 24 hours on repairs when parts are in stock, a 10% discount on repairs, 5% off new equipment up to $300, no service charge during regular business hours, and an email reminder sent twice a year so the tune-ups actually get scheduled rather than forgotten. Call for the membership price itself.
Why the manufacturer warranty makes this more than a nice-to-have
If a system is still under a manufacturer warranty and a repair traces back to a lack of maintenance, the manufacturer will not honour that warranty. Regular tune-ups also save money over the life of the system: a coil or drain line left unchecked runs the equipment harder for longer, and repairs caused by a clogged filter, a clogged drain line or dirty coils are not something the manufacturer covers either way. Air filters need changing monthly unless the home has a media air filtration system in the attic, in which case at least once a year and possibly twice.
